Latest thunderstorm warning for Lincolnshire

Lincolnshire thunderstorm warnings have been extended.

A Met Office weather warning is in place for thunderstorms across Lincolnshire today and tomorrow.

The latest weather alert predicts that thunderstorms may break out across the region between 2pm and 9pm on Thursday, July 26.

Forecasters said: “There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.”

On Friday, July 27, a yellow weather warning is again in place for the whole county and is extended to cover a wider easterly region.

The thunderstorm warning on Friday covers the period between 2pm and 11.45 pm.

Forecasters added: “Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services.”
