Lincoln BBQ goes up in flames

A barbecue party in Lincoln had to call in the firefighters after the fence and trees caught fire on Sunday evening.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue were called to Chedworth Close in Lincoln at 7.21pm on July 8 after a BBQ tipped over and embers ignited surrounding trees.

Neighbours could see a 5m conifer hedge alight, as well as the wooden fence around the property engulfed in flames.

Three wheelie bins also caught fire.

The Lincoln North fire crew extinguished the blaze using two hose reels.

There were no reported injuries.
