Man found with craft and steak knife after Asda stabbing

He will return to court in August

A 50-year-old man charged with attempted murder has been remanded in custody to appear at Grimsby Crown Court after a hearing on Friday morning.

The hearing heard he is charged with being in possession of both a craft knife and a steak knife.

As previously reported, Colin Clarkson of Heneage Road in Grimsby attended Grimsby Magistrates Court on Friday, July 20 charged with the attempted murder of a man at the Asda supermarket on Holles Street.

Reports that a man was stabbed in the neck just outside the doors at the Asda store in Grimsby tonight.

The incident happened just after 5.30pm on July 18 and a second man sustained a stab wound to the neck in the incident and was taken to Diana Princess of Wales Hospital for treatment.

His injuries are not through to be life threatening, police said.

A spokesperson for Grimsby Magistrates Court told Lincolnshire Reporter Colin Clarkson appeared before Grimsby Magistrates Court on charges of attempted murder, possession of a bladed article and possession of an offensive weapon.

Colin Clarkson will appear at Grimsby Crown Court on Friday, August 31.
