Man shocks residents by pointing BB gun out of car window

The weapon was also seized

A man in his 30s was arrested after police received reports that a man was ‘pointing a gun out of the window of a car’ in Boston on Thursday night.

Incident 539 was reported to police at 9.20pm on Thursday, July 12 and Lincolnshire Police ARV tweeted about receiving a couple of calls during the evening.

The man, who was a rear seat passenger of a black BMW, was brandishing a weapon out of the window in John Adams Way in Boston, police said.

Police said: Firearms officers were deployed to locate the vehicle which led them to an address in Woad Farm Road, Boston.

The BB gun was recovered and a the man was arrested for possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear and violence.

The man has since been released with no further action.
