Man ‘stabbed in the neck’ in Grimsby Asda

His injuries are not thought to be life threatening

A man has been arrested after a stabbing at an Asda supermarket in Grimsby.

Humberside Police were called to an area outside of the Asda supermarket on Holles Street in Grimsby, which happened just after 5.30pm on July 18.

A second man sustained a stab wound to the neck in the incident and was taken to Diana Princess of Wales Hospital for treatment.

His injuries are not thought to be life threatening, police said.

Reports that a man was stabbed in the neck just outside the doors at the Asda store in Grimsby tonight.

Humberside Police are undertaking enquiries and speaking to people in the area.

Anyone with information to help with the investigation should contact police on 101 quoting log number 401 of July 18.

This comes just over a month after another stabbing in the car park at the same supermarket.

As previously reported, Andrew Mayes, 36, of no fixed abode, was remanded in custody and will appear back in court later today (July 19) on charges of attempted murder and possession of a bladed article.
