PC faces misconduct panel over texts

The hearing will take place at Boston police station

A Lincolnshire Police constable will face a gross misconduct hearing next week after allegedly breaching professional behaviour standards, including sending inappropriate text communications in work time.

Police Constable Perry, who was previously based at Sleaford police station, is accused of breaching standards of ‘integrity’ and ‘discreditable conduct’.

PC Perry will attend a public hearing at Boston police station on Lincoln Lane in Boston at 9.30am on July 11.

It is alleged that PC Perry engaged in a personal relationship whilst in work time, as well as sending excessive and inappropriate text communications during working hours.

PC Perry is also accused of failing to take adequate steps in relation to reports of domestic violence.

The allegations also included viewing inappropriate websites and actively participating in inappropriate conversation on social media whilst on and off duty.

The identity of victims/witnesses will be protected during the hearing.
