Two injured in World Cup pub brawl

The incident started at a pub and spilled out onto the streets

Two men were injured during a World Cup brawl involving eight people near a pub in Cherry Willingham.

While watching the England v Croatia World Cup semi-final, a disturbance took place in the Cherry Tree pub and spilled out onto the junction of Laburnham Drive, Newstead Avenue and Church Lane in Cherry Willingham.

At around 9.45pm, a man in his 20s and another man in his 40s were injured during the incident on Wednesday, 11 July.

Lincoln Police are urging anyone with information to call them on 101, quoting incident number 448 of 11 July.
