Welfare worries sparked by abandoned clothing at nature reserve

Police were alerted by a member of the public

Update: Police confirmed that enquiries identified who the clothes belong to and the person has been seen by officers and is safe and well.


Police are concerned for the welfare of a person after some abandoned clothing and a bag was found at a nature reserve near in the South Holland district of Lincolnshire.

Lincolnshire Police recovered a t-shirt, a cardigan and a bag at the Moulton Marsh Nature Reserve after a call from a member of the public during the morning of Friday, July 13.

Polie said: “Our enquiries have drawn a blank as to who they belong to but we are sufficiently concerned for the welfare of the person who may have left them and we are asking for help in identifying the owner. ”
