Work starts on new Saxilby business units

New industrial spaces in Saxilby

Work is underway to create new industrial workspaces on the Riverside Enterprise Park, Saxilby.

West Lindsey District Council plans for the development to become one of the leading commercial business parks within the area and has purchased 6,000 sq ft of workspace to provide leasehold opportunities to tenants.

The 5.8 acre development is being constructed by Lincoln based firm Stirlin Developments off Skellingthorpe Road in Saxilby and will provide commercial industrial and office premises.

Castle Square Developments and Lambert Smith Hampton have also worked alongside Stirlin Developments and the council on the plans.

Leader of West Lindsey District Council, Jeff Summers, said: “We are delighted to be able to invest in this exciting, high quality development in West Lindsey and to see work starting is great news.

“Our investment is part of our growth programme, to address the shortage of leasehold workspace premises in the district and to promote business growth in our area.

“Small businesses cannot always afford to build/purchase their own premises and the principle of developing small workspace units to accommodate new and expanding SMEs (Small Medium Enterprises) in order to generate jobs and wealth in our district is supported.

“Phase three will help increase the work opportunities for residents and provide essential work space for budding entrepreneurs to flourish and supporting other businesses to relocate.

“Demand from businesses for the units in phase 1 and 2 have been high, due to the modern nature of the buildings and the site being located on a prime site on the Lincoln fringe and we are anticipating high demand for phase 3.”

The units range is size from 750 square ft to 1,500 square ft and are close to the A57 and A46 Lincoln Bypass.

  • 3 x 1,000 sq ft,
  • 1 x 1,500 sq ft
  • 2 x 750 sq ft units

Matt Padley, Development Coordinator for Stirlin Developments said: “We are delighted to be partnering with West Lindsey District Council to deliver the next phase of units at Riverside Enterprise Park.

“We have been developing both commercial and residential sites in the district for over 10 years so it’s great to be able to partner with the local authority and offer these units to the leasehold market.

“The units will provide a great opportunity for small businesses and start-ups to lease high specification premises and provide a fantastic platform for these businesses to expand the services and goods they offer.”
