Armed police arrest man at Lincoln Crematorium

Armed police swooped on the Washingborough Road Crematorium in Lincoln and arrested a man on suspicion of threats to kill.

Lincolnshire Police said they are currently investigating an incident and officers, including firearms officers, were in attendance.

People nearby watched a number of police cars rush to the area just before 2pm on Thursday, August 23.

No injuries have been reported.

UPDATE, 5.20pm: Lincolnshire Police said the incident at Washingborough Road has now been resolved. and officers have stood down.

A force spokesperson said:

“A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of threats to kill, he remains in custody.”
