Elderly couple from A52 crash named

They died in a crash at Swaton

An elderly couple who died in a crash on the A52 at Swaton have been named by the Lincolnshire Coroners Service.

As previously reported, a man and a woman were pronounced dead at the scene of a crash involving a white Ford Ranger and a blue Nissan Note, which happened at 3.30pm on Sunday, July 29.

The couple from Weston-Super-Mare have been named as Catherine Frances Pople, 74 and Graham George Pople, 76.

An inquest will be opened at Boston Coroners Court by coroner SPG Fisher on Friday, August 3.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Coroners Service told Lincolnshire Reporter : “The inquest will open tomorrow (August 3) when the coroner formally opens it.

“It will then be adjourned for a later date to obtain statements and paperwork, which will formulate the evidence at the inquest hearing. It can be a lengthy process.”
