Penguin village plan for Lincoln wildlife attraction

Waddle load of animals!

A wildlife park near Lincoln is planning to add penguins to its collection of exotic animals.

Woodside Wildlife Park near Langworth has submitted an application to the council for the new enclosure, and a public consultation is now underway.

If the plans are approved by West Lindsey District Council, a new enclosure with a pool, rocks and a slipway will be built next to the wolves and tiger enclosures.

Plans for the penguin enclosure have been drawn up.

The wildlife park already has a collection of tigers, lynx, wolves, tortoises and monkeys.

A new enclosure would mean that people will no longer have to travel to Bridlington or Skegness to see the feathered friends.

The proposal puts the penguins in between the tigers and wolves.
