Retrofuture tipple: New Lincoln Steampunk beer

Three exclusive beers will be launched for the festival

Cheers! A Lincoln pub has teamed up with a local brewer to create a series of Steampunk-themed beers.

The three beers will be launched during the Steampunk festival later this month at BeerHeadZ on Eastgate in Lincoln.

Independent pub, BeerHeadZ, has partnered up with Cheeky Imp Brew Company to showcase the trio of exclusive tipples during the festival.

Tim Dunn, manager of BeerHeadZ in Lincoln, said: “We are really excited to be working with a small local brewer to showcase his excellent beers and make them available to everyone over the Steampunk festival.”

SteamHeadZ will be a stout, which is vegan friendly and flavoured with vanilla and toasted coconut chips.

BeerPunkZ will be juicy and vegan friendly, in a ‘New England’ style IPA.

TeaBagZ was named after a social media competition and is a traditional bitter, infused with Jasmine Tea.

The Steampunk beers will be launched exclusively at BeerHeadZ.

Cheeky Imp Brew Company will be making the three beers and the chairman from the Newark Steampunk society will be making the leather pump clips.

BeerHeadZ plan to auction off the leather clips as a set of three and then donate the money raised to charity.

The Asylum Steampunk Festival is the longest running festival of its kind and will return to the city for its tenth year on August 24 until August 27.
