Woman assaulted in homophobic attack outside supermarket

Woman subjected to verbal and physical abuse

A woman was subjected to a hate fuelled attack by a woman and a man in the car park of the Wragby Road Aldi supermarket on Saturday.

According to Lincolnshire Police at around 6pm the victim was subjected to homophobic abuse near to the disabled parking bays of the supermarket.

She was also physically assaulted by a man who grabbed her hair and left her with bruising.

The man is believed to have been with the suspect at the time.

Lincolnshire Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward who may have seen or heard anything during the incident on Saturday.

They are asking people to contact them on the non-emergency number 101 quoting incident number 383 of August 7 if they have any relevant information.
