New free community service to keep Lincoln clean

The first C.L.E.A.N hub was launched this month

A free community service loaning equipment and offering information and support to safely perform litter pick events in Lincoln has launched in the city.

Clean Lincoln Everywhere and Now teamed up with One NK sports complex in North Hykeham, where the first C.L.E.A.N hub was launched this month, and service makes it easy to participate in the reduction of plastic waste and litter in the city.

The hub, which was launched on September 19, hosted an open day and welcomed guests to find out more about the service, which is open seven days a week from 7am-10pm.

The Mayor of North Hykeham Susannah Barker-Milan and her consort attended the event and there are plans for more hubs to be established throughout the city.

People can’t always attend organised clean-up events at set dates and times and this service gives people the choice of when, where and who they would like to carry out litter picks with.

C.L.E.A.N also supports existing groups around the city by promoting their events and has already supported local festivals such as ‘The Perfect Day”.

Individuals and groups can contact C.L.E.A.N by Facebook or email to receive everything they need to organise and execute a litter pick event for free.
