Air ambulance lands after sudden death in Lincoln village

Police are supporting the victim’s family

Emergency services and an air ambulance rushed to the scene this morning after a sudden death in the Saxilby area, but police have said there are no suspicious circumstances.

The ambucopter landed on the village playing fields just after 10.30am on Thursday, October 4.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We received a report of a sudden death and attended the High Street, Saxilby, this morning, to assist other emergency services. There are no suspicious circumstances, and we are supporting the family.”

A spokesperson for EMAS added: “We received a call at 9.08am this morning to High Street, Saxilby. The caller reported a person had collapsed.

“We sent LIVES, the air ambulance, a crewed ambulance and an ambulance car.”

The Lincolnite also approached the Air Ambulance for further information, but there was no response by the time of publication.
