Bargain Buys opens first Lincoln store

Over 20 jobs have been created

Discount chain Bargain Buys opened its first store in Lincoln and shoppers flocked to browse the deals on offer.

The shop was officially opened at 10am on Tuesday, October 16 in the former Netto and Poundworld unit on Lindis Retail Park, Tritton Road.

More than 20 new jobs were created in the move.

A shopper cut the ribbon to mark the store’s official opening and customers rushed in to pick up some household buys.

The first five customers could pick themselves up a curved fire places with a remote for £29.99 instead of its £229 RRP.

A steam mop was on offer at £14.99 for the next ten customers, a glass TV stand was on sale for £9.99 for the next 15 customers and a washable rug could be snapped up by the next 175 customers for £4.99.

When the offers are gone they are gone, but there’s lots more opening day deals like six cans of Heinz Beans for £2.49, a kilogram of sugar for 49 pence and a variety of tassimo packs for £2.99 each.

John Graham, area manager for Bargain Buys, told The Lincolnite at the store’s opening: “We have been very busy this morning so we are hoping that this is going to be great.

“The customers who have been visiting the store this morning are saying that it looks fabulous.

“We will be looking for a few more staff members over the Christmas period as well.”

Bargain Buys prides itself on its discounts and claim that they cannot be beaten on price for food and toiletries.
