Deliveroo’s top five Lincoln curries revealed

Tikka-tock! The time is counting down to winter and people are craving nice warm food, so with National Curry Week now underway Deliveroo has released statistics on the top places in Lincoln to order from.

According to the data from Deliveroo, the Chicken Korma from Castlegate Indian Restaurant on Lincoln’s High Street ranks as the most popular curry dish ordered in Lincoln.

Castlegate appears twice in the top five with its Saag Paneer dish also very popular among Yellowbellies.

The top five

  1. Chicken Korma at Castlegate Indian Restaurant
  2. Chicken Tikka Masala at Riyaz Indian Takeaway
  3. Butter Lamb at Mirchi
  4. Tandoori Chicken Masala at Mowgli
  5. Saag Paneer at Castle gate Indian Restaurant

Curry-linary Lincoln stats

It has also been revealed that Lincoln orders more onion bhajis than any other city in the UK.

Lincoln orders 30% fewer popadoms than the UK city average and out of all of the naan, paratha, chips, rice and other accompaniment dishes Garlic naan appears to be the locals’ favourite.

Around 78% of Lincoln’s main dish curry orders contain meat with chicken being the favourite choice.
