Hundreds of cannabis plants seized in raid near Grimsby

Hundreds of live cannabis plants were found

Police have seized hundreds of cannabis plants and drug growing equipment in a raid near Grimsby.

Officers raided a house on Newbury Avenue in Great Coates, Grimsby during the afternoon of Monday, October 1.

An electricity supplier had responded to a neighbour’s call about problems with their electricity supply and the smell of burning.

The occupiers were not in the property at the time of the raid, but the neighbour has now escaped danger of their home setting alight due to the dangerous electricity diversion, police said.

Anyone with information should contact Humberside Police on 101 quoting log number 195 of October 1.

Anyone who suspects someone is growing or dealing drugs in the area should also call police.
