Lincoln bridge reopened after police incident

Police are supporting the person

Police rushed to Pelham Bridge in the early hours of Friday morning over concerns for a person’s safety.

Lincolnshire Police were called to the scene by a concerned person shortly before 6am on Friday, October 19 and the bridge was closed as a precaution.

Police reportedly talked to the person on the bridge who complied with them. They are now receiving support from the force.

There were no injuries and the road re-opened ready for rush hour.

A statement from Lincolnshire Police said: “Broadgate was closed following a report for a concern for safety during the early hours of this morning. Officers attended and the person involved is now safe.”
