Pedestrian in intensive care after suspected drink driving hit and run

A man has been arrested

The driver of a Land Rover fled the scene after hitting a pedestrian and leaving them seriously injured in Boston.

It happened on Sleaford Road, Boston at around 9.14pm on Thursday, October 18, involving a black Land Rover.

The pedestrian, a 30-year-old man from the local area was taken to Pilgrim Hospital and then transferred to Queen’s Medical Centre at Nottingham where he is detained in the Intensive Care Unit.

Police said the Land Rover did not stop at the scene but was traced a short time later and a man was arrested for providing a positive breath test and leaving the scene of a collision.

He is aged 32 and from the local area.

The road was closed whilst the police investigation took place and was re-opened in the early hours of this morning.

Anyone who was in the area before quarter past nine and saw the collision or a black Land Rover and the pedestrian before the collision is asked to contact police on 101.
