Man arrested after alleged seafront assault

A 46-year-old man was arrested this morning in connection with an alleged assault of a woman on Cleethorpes seafront.

The man was arrested shortly before 12pm on Tuesday, October 2 after the incident which happened during the morning – the exact time is not known.

The man has been taken into custody for questioning in connection with the incident and police said the woman’s injuries are not believed to be serious.

Humberside Police said: “We are aware that on local social media there has been speculation about other incidents recently and we would ask that anyone who has suffered incidents of anti-social behaviour or harassment recently in the Cleethorpes area please report their incidents to us so that we can investigate them fully.

“If people do not report their concerns we cannot act on these incidents.”
