Second man arrested over Lincolnshire hall arson

They have both been bailed pending further enquiries.

A 20-year-old man from the Grimsby area has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a large fire at the derelict Beech Grove Hall in Manby this week.

As previously reported, emergency services were called to the property on Sunday evening (September 30) and fire crews from across the county including Louth, North Somercotes, Alford, Mabletherpe, Spilsby, Horncastle, Market Rasen and Lincoln attended.

There was severe damage by fire to the three story derelict building on Park Lane and Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue previously confirmed that the fire was started deliberately.

An 18-year-old man from the Grimsby area was previously arrested on suspicion of arson and kept in custody.

A second man, aged 20, also from the Grimsby area has also been arrested on suspicion of arson and both he and the 18-year-old have been bailed pending further enquiries.
