A man who allegedly stole a pram from the Lincoln Mothercare store fought with a member of the public who tried to stop him from getting away.
Police are appealing for witnesses and information after the theft at St Marks on Saturday, November 17.
The suspect was described as wearing a blue coat, with dark hair and aged in his mid-30s.
He’s said to have stolen the item before pushing it towards Firth Road.
Police said a member of the public gave chase and an altercation took place near the Post Office, before the man who stole the pram escaped.
A spokesperson said: “We would like to speak to the man who gave chase who could be an important witness in this incident.
“He is described as wearing dark clothing and a red cap.”
