Man arrested after knife-point Co-op robbery

Cash, cigarettes and alcohol were stolen

A 45-year-old man Scunthorpe man has been arrested after allegedly threatening staff with a knife during a robbery at a local Co-op food store.

Humberside Police were called about the incident at the store on Willoughby Road, Scunthorpe at 7.15pm on Tuesday, November 27.

It is reported that the man entered the store making threats to the staff with a knife, but nobody was injured in the incident, police said.

Cash, cigarettes and alcohol were stolen from the store.

A suspect was arrested later that evening at 8.45pm at an address in Scunthorpe and he remains in custody at this time.
