School pays tribute to teacher killed in crash

Tributes have been paid to a Boston teacher, who died on her way home from school on Monday afternoon.

Ms Gemma Ashling, 40, was a teacher of Sociology and Religious Studies at Boston High School before she was involved in a three vehicle crash.

As previously reported, the crash involved a double decker bus, a van and a car on the A52 Main Road in Leverton on November 26.

The school has sent out a letter to share the “desperately sad news” and to tell students that they have set up support for those who need it.

Mr Andrew Fulbrook, headteacher at Boston High School, wrote: “Ms Ashling was both a professional colleague and a friend to us and, of course, to so many students.

“I know you would wish to join me and our community in holding Ms Ashling, and her family, in our thoughts and our prayers at this terribly sad time.”

The letter goes onto say that they will create a suitable memorial and tribute to the much-loved teacher at a later date.

The letter was posted on social media, where many added their tributes to her.
