Two suspected Lincolnshire slavers arrested

A man and woman have been arrested on suspicion of human trafficking offences in Lincolnshire.

The suspects were questioned after the operation in Gedney, South Holland on the morning of Wednesday, November 7.

Six people, who are believed to have been trafficked to the country, were found at the same address.

They had been working in the food services sector when officers discovered them.

Both suspects, a 42-year-old man and 35-year-old woman, have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

The Lincolnshire Police operation was supported by the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) , Immigration Enforcement, HM Revenue and Customs, and South Holland District Council.
