Driver of flipped car found after police and helicopter search

Police have named the driver

Latest: Lincolnshire Police undertook extensive enquiries and searches using a police helicopter. They confirmed just after 1pm that Scrafton had returned to his home address.

They added that he was receiving treatment for minor injuries.


Police are searching for a man who was involved in a serious crash near Bourne this morning.

Officers were called to the A151, near to the vet’s surgery, Grimsthorpe, Bourne, at 7.20am on Wednesday, December 19 to a report of an overturned car.

The driver of the car – Jeremy Scrafton – phoned 999 this morning, but the call was abandoned. He was not present at the vehicle when officers attended.

Lincolnshire Police are asking for help in locating him urgently.

Jeremy is described as a man in his 50s, and was travelling to York, which police believe was due to be his final destination.
