A person in Lincoln called the police after they found a suspected gun on a bench, but it doesn’t fire very well.

Lincolnshire Police received reports of a gun on Monday, December 17 but when they arrived they found a plastic toy.

The toy was found a bench on the Sustrans path from Skellingthorpe to Lincoln.

An officer from Hykeham police tweeted: “We have been called to a report of a gun on a bench, on the Sustrans path from Skellingthorpe to Lincoln.

“The blue plastic ammunition doesn’t fire very well.”
