Sneak peek inside the new Lincoln Christmas Emporium

A unique festive experience

A new week-long Christmas market at Lincoln Castle has kicked off the festivities, so we went for a very sneaky peek.

The Christmas Emporium is open to visitors from 4pm on Saturday, December 15 and will run until the following Saturday, December 22.

As previously reported, a spectacular light show will form the centrepiece of the event over the eight evenings from 5pm to 9pm. The market itself is open from 4pm to 10pm.

Tickets cost £7.50 for adults, £6.50 for concessions, £5 for children, with family tickets available for £20click here to book tickets.

Each ticket holder can visit the event as many times as they like over the eight days. Anyone with an annual pass can access the market for free.

The light display entitled ‘Marking Time’ is inspired by the movement of Victorian timepieces.

The emporium offer visitors a varied shopping experience – here’s a flavour of some of the exciting traders you’ll be able to find at the event.

We have also compiled a list of the locally-sourced food and drinks on offer at the market, including a cozy tipi bar to put your feet up.

The tipi bar will offer festive winter cocktails including Winter Spice, Nutcracker and Greenhouse Pine. There will also be three gin twists – strawberry and basil, raspberry and peppercorn and apple and cinnamon.

Father Christmas will also be up at Lincoln Castle, where he is looking forward to hearing your festive wishes.
