Your Christmas wish for Lincoln

Homeless shelters, less road congestion and to dump Brexit were part of the wishes

As the city starts to get into the festive spirit, we asked people on the High Street what their Christmas wish for the city would be.

People have lots of different hopes and dreams for Lincoln, some have asked for more help for the homeless and others have asked for less congestion on the roads.

The winter season has a habit of granting wishes to those who ask nice enough, so what would people in Lincoln want?

Martha Wilson told The Lincolnite: “My Christmas wish for Lincoln is that the new homeless shelter gets built as soon as possible.”

While Cass Potterson simply said: “I wish for everyone in Lincoln to have the merriest Christmas possible.”

That being said, it is hard to speak to people without getting onto the subject of Brexit.

David Fletcher said: “I wish for the politicians to just get us out of Brexit.

“So that we as a town and city can get on and do what we do best and that’s smile.”
