Jewellery thieves continue to raid Lincoln houses

More homes targeted

Thieves are continuing to raid homes around Lincoln for jewellery.

Lincolnshire Police put out an alert about a burglary in Stainton by Langworth, where a window was forced open to gain entry in the early hours of January 15.

An alert by a police spokesperson said: “An untidy search of most rooms has taken place. A substantive amount of jewellery and cash was taken.”

Three large items were also stolen after a break in at a building site in North Hykeham on the same day.

Barrat Homes reported the theft at their site on Tiber Road, which Lincolnshire Police are investigating.

As previously reported, four houses around Lincoln and Saxilby were hit by thieves on January 14.

The incidents took place on:

  • Highfield Road, Saxilby
  • Landmere Grove, Lincoln
  • Oakfield, Saxilby – two were reported from this location.

Officers are also asking people to lock all doors and windows when they are out, look out for elderly relatives, and always report anything suspicious to us on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
