Lincoln shopkeeper fends off four armed robbers

Lincolnshire Police say this male could help with their investigation

A Lincoln shopkeeper managed to fend off four robbers after they came into the store armed with hammers.

At around 9.25pm on Monday, January 28 four males entered the Ampal store on Sincil Bank with two hammers.

One of the suspected offenders threatened a shopkeeper with one of the hammers and demanded that they hand over money.

Following a struggle over the till all four males left the store without taking anything. But they caused significant damage on their way out.

Lincolnshire Police has launched an investigation into the incident and released the above picture of someone they wish to speak with.

Anyone who recognises the person pictured above or has information about the incident is being urged to contact the police on 101, quoting incident 441 of January 28.
