Men charged with stealing ‘laughing gas’ canisters from hospital

Both men were remanded in custody

Two men have been charged and remanded in custody after allegedly stealing gas canisters from a Lincoln hospital.

Joseph Cousins and Ryan White will appear at court at a later date after being charged with the burglary offences in relation to the theft of nitrous oxide gas canisters from the BMI The Lincoln Hospital last June.

Cousins, 19, of Upton Place, Littleport in Cambridgeshire has been charged with burglary with intent to steal and conspiracy to commit burglary.

White, 22, of Tithe Road in Chatteris in Cambridgeshire has been charged with burglary with intent to steal, two counts of conspiracy to commit burglary, driving a vehicle dangerously, driving while disqualified and the possession of a Class A drug.

Both men were remanded in custody and appeared at magistrates’ court on January 28. They were released on bail and sent to appear at Lincoln Crown Court next month.

A 20-year-old woman from Isleham in Cambridge was arrested on suspicion of going equipped for burglary, but she has since been released under investigation.
