Met Office issues snow and ice warning for Lincolnshire

Take it easy on the roads

The Met Office has warned of possible snow and ice across Lincolnshire tonight.

A yellow warning is in place for the east coast spreading inland up to the Wragby area and villages east of the city between 10am on Thursday, January 17 and 10am on Friday, January 18.

Warning issued by the Met Office for East Lincolnshire

Forecasters expect “sleet and snow showers today, then ice during Thursday evening and night.”

They added: “Some roads and railways are likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services.”

People should watch out for icy surfaces on paths and roads.
