Balloons displaying alleged racist, homophobic and abusive words were found tied to the entrance of a recreation park in a Lincolnshire town.
The balloons were discovered at the entrance to the Alford Memorial Recreation Park on South Street, Alford, at 9.50am on Wednesday, January 9.
The park is home to a Second World War memorial.
It is not clear who put them there and with what motive, but the balloons have since been removed.
Anyone with information should contact Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident 82 of January 9.

Lincolnshire Police have found the body of a missing Lincoln boy.
The force appealed at around 4pm on Sunday, April 11, to find Daniel Coupland, 16, from Lincoln, after he went missing.
At 9.30pm police said that a body has been found, which has been identified as the missing boy.
In a statement, Lincolnshire Police said: “We would like to sincerely thank the media and the public for their support with this appeal and request that the family be given time to process this devastating news without intrusion or speculation.”
