Spate of crashes on icy Lincolnshire roads

Police have already attended a few collisions this morning

Emergency crews dealt with at least three crashes in ice and fog across Lincolnshire on Thursday morning.

The A607 in Grantham was partially blocked with queuing traffic in both directions after an accident at around 5.30am on Thursday, January 31.

It happened between the Farrier Premier Inn junction and the entrance to Echo Farm junction.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said the incident was a single vehicle collision and there were no injuries.

“This is quarter of a mile from the A1 and Anglian Water are also dealing with a burst water main there.

“If you are driving on the county’s roads this morning, please take extra care, drive to the conditions and allow plenty of time to get where you are going to.”
