Teen robbers threaten shop workers with hammer

One boy was armed with a hammer

Two teenagers, including one armed with a hammer, damaged a shop and demanded money during an alleged robbery at a convenience store in Cleethorpes.

The two boys entered the store on Brereton Avenue in Cleethorpes at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, January 29 before demanding money. Nobody was hurt, but an amount of cash was stolen.

The teens caused criminal damage inside the shop before running off down Elliston Street.

They are described as around 17 or 18-years-old, with one boy wearing black clothing. The other was wearing a blue jacket and a dark coloured scarf.

Humberside Police is appealing for witnesses to help find the teenagers. Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting log 516 of January 30.
