Council vehicle ‘has no MOT’, officials investigate

The vehicle appears to have no MOT

Boston Borough Council has said it is investigating after pictures shared online allegedly showed one of its vehicles as being used without an MOT.

The photos originally by a Facebook user, and investigated by other social media users seem to show the vehicle’s MOT having expired on January 18.

The original poster, who did not wish to be named, said the photos were taken on Saturday, February 9, and they had also seen the vehicle used on Wednesday, February 13.

The original poster did not wish to be named, however, the post was picked up by others like Paul, who shared it to the Boston the People group.

Further images also appear to show it registered with a ‘Statutory Off Road Notification’ (SORN).

It is understood to be one the council uses to transport stalls to and from its market.

A spokesperson of the council said: “We are aware of this and the matter is subject to an internal investigation and appropriate action will be taken where necessary.”
