Lincolnshire has worst A&E waiting times in country

It has not met the target for nearly half a decade

United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust, which runs Lincoln County Hospital, has the worst A&E waiting times in the country, according to latest figures.

The trust has a 95% national standard to meet for admitting or treating a patient in four hours.

But ULHT has failed to meet that target for nearly half a decade.

The last time the trust met the four hour standard was in September 2014.

Meanwhile, ULHT also missed its targets on cancer care and emergency operations.

Mark Brassington, chief operating officer at the trust, said the organisation accepted that its performance is “not where it should be”.
