Staff at the school have been cleaning up after the break in

A Gainsborough nursery was broken into overnight and raided for tablet computers.

Hillcrest Academy tweeted photos of the damage caused by vandals and said they targeted the school’s youngest pupils.

They have been appealing to families and the community to come forward with information about the break in.

Tablets were taken.

Staff members have been clearing up the mess left by thieves and the academy is being secured to stop further attacks.

Parents got in touch to share their sympathy and echoed the calls for people to come forward with information.

Staff have been clearing up the mess.

Laura Randall said: “I’m heartbroken for you all to read such awful news. How low can you get? Disgusting!”

Cassie Brighton added: “How very very low of these people. All the staff and kids work so hard to create a school where they want to be every day.

“Any information, no matter how small, please pass onto the police. My daughter is going to be so upset.”
