Police rescue female from A46 bridge

They were “concerned for her safety”

A female has been taken to hospital after police rescued her from a bridge over the A46.

Lincolnshire Police were called at 11.17am on Friday, March 29 with concerns for a woman’s safety.

The force rescued the female and she was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.

The incident is causing long delays in the area.

Roads were closed by officers but have since been reopened.

Drivers are still facing long tailbacks in the area and are being urged to avoid the area if possible.
