Women reportedly swipe purse from shopper’s handbag

The victim noticed after leaving the store

Two women allegedly stole a purse from a handbag after following their victim around a Boston shop.

A woman in her 70s entered the Peacocks store on Pescod Square in Boston at around 1pm on March 19.

Whilst shopping, she was followed by two women who stole her purse from her handbag.

The victim said she realised her purse had been stolen after leaving the store. She then contacted police.

One woman was described as white with long dark hair tied in a bun and around 30-40 years old.

She was described as wearing glasses on her head and a beige jacket with a large, white scarf around her neck.

The second woman was described as white with dark hair tied up and around 30-40 years old.

She was described as wearing a large, grey coat and blue jeans. She was also carrying a brown handbag over her shoulder.

Lincolnshire Police want to identify the two pictured women to help with the investigation.

Anyone with information or who recognises the women should contact police on 101 or via email at [email protected] quoting incident 277 of March 19.
