Birdwatchers rejoice as Peregrine Falcons nurse young at Lincoln Cathedral
Birdwatchers are out in full force as two Peregrine Falcons nurse their young in Lincoln.
Lincoln Cathedral’s bell tower has been home to the birds of prey for around 13 years.
A new live stream is taking enthusiasts and casual birdwatchers into the nest for the first time.
It is a collaboration project between the University of Lincoln, Lincoln Cathedral and Quickline Internet Solutions.
The stream watches the Peregrine Falcons 24 hours a day and seven days a week.
While the cameras have been rolling, they’ve also captured some more unexpected guests sneaking into the nest.
Since the nesting project started, the Peregrine Falcons have raised at least 27 young. Another four are on their way.
