Fourth arrest in Gainsborough murder probe

A teenager has now been arrested

A fourth person has been arrested as police continue to investigate the murder of Jordan O’Brien in Gainsborough.

As previously reported, Jordan, 25, suffered serious injuries in an assault at his mother’s house on Scampton Way in Gainsborough at 10.43pm on Wednesday, March 27.

Lincolnshire Police confirmed on Monday, April 15 that an 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of Jordan O’Brien. He is currently in police custody.

Lincolnshire Police said: “Four people have now been arrested in connection with this investigation. Two have been bailed and one man has been charged.”

A 21-year-old man was arrested on March 28 in connection with this incident who remains on police bail pending further enquiries.

Kieron Walker, 22, of Larch Avenue, Auckley, Doncaster was charged with murder and possession of a knife/sharp pointed article in a public place. He appeared at court before being remanded in custody.

A 27-year-old man was also previously arrested on suspicion of murder but was released on police bail.

The death of the father of two, reportedly with another child on the way, prompted a wave of tributes.

Reports say that Jordan suffered injuries so severe that doctors had to amputate one of his legs while in critical condition.
