CCTV appeal after Lincoln cafe window smashed

It will be a costly job to replace it

An independent Lincoln cafe was left with costly damages when a yob allegedly kicked a box into the window yesterday.

A plastic box containing a bag of rubbish was kicked by a male captured on CCTV between 3am to 4am on Wednesday, April 3. It caught the corner of the window at Coffee Aroma on Guildhall Street in Lincoln and smashed it.

It has been investigated by police as criminal damage.

Coffee Aroma released CCTV after someone kicked a plastic box which smashed the window.

Owner Andrew Carnell told The Lincolnite that it is a listed building and the glass window was fitted internally so it will be a more costly job to replace it.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “This is a report of a window being damaged at a commercial premises on Guildhall Street, Lincoln. This has been investigated as criminal damage.”

No arrests have been made at the time of writing.
