A 12-year-old girl has potentially life-changing injuries after a serious crash in Grimsby on Monday night.
Humberside Police were called to the crash between a Yamaha YQ Aerox 50cc moped and a blue Mitsubishi ASX3 car at 6.50pm on Monday, May 20.
The moped collided with the car at the junction of Rendel Street with Armstrong Street. A 15-year-old boy was also seriously injured.
Humberside Police said: “There were two young people on the moped, a 15-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl, neither of whom were wearing helmets.
“Both the rider and passenger of the moped sustained serious injuries. The 12-year-old girl has suffered potentially life-changing injuries.”
Anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the moped before it should contact police on 101 quoting log 544 of May 20.
