More retail woes as another Lincoln store sets closing date

At least 12 jobs will be axed in the move

There are yet more retail woes on the High Street as the Office Outlet announces that it will close next week.

The stationery chain will shut its doors for the final time on Monday, May 20 at 5.30pm.

At least 12 jobs will be axed in the move, with some staff moving to other stores in the region.

Everything at the Office Outlet store in the Valentine Retail Park is on sale for at least 50% off its retail price.

They will also be running a basic printing service until the last day of trading next week.

As previously reported, Lincoln is losing more shops than any other place in the county and more than most in the East Midlands region.

The national company has over 90 stores and around 1,200 employees. It sells office supplies, business technology and copy and print services to businesses, homes and schools.

Restructuring partners at Deloitte were appointed on March 18 as joint administrators to SUK Retail Limited (trading as Office Outlet).

The Lincoln store put up posters in March announcing that it was having a closing down sale.
