Police confirm man suspected of murder after caravan park death

He remains in custody

A man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found in a caravan in Ingoldmells.

As previously reported, emergency services were called to Summerlands Caravan Park at around 10pm on Wednesday, May 29.

A woman in her 60s from Nottingham was found with serious injures and was treated at the scene by the ambulance crew, but died a short time later.

A man in his 50s from Nottingham was arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with this incident. He remains in custody.

A Home Office post mortem will be carried out on Friday, May 31 to establish the cause of death.
