Drivers in Lincoln will face a week of disruption due to roadworks to create a new sewer connection. It will cause a section of Boultham Park Road to be closed later this month.
The area near the bend at Hall Drive will be closed and the diversion route is Dixon Street/Tritton Road/Skellingthorpe Road and vice versa. A road closure will take effect from Monday, May 27 until Sunday, June 2.
A highways spokesperson at Lincolnshire County Council said: “The works at Boultham Park Road are being carried out by a private contractor and involve the creation of a new sewer connection to a property. We have asked that the works be carried out during half-term week, when traffic will be lighter.”
The disruption will also affect local bus routes – services 6, 9 and 553 which will divert.
Service 6 from Lincoln Bus Station will run its normal route to Dixon Street then divert via Tritton Road to Skellingthorpe Road to resume normal route. Boultham Park Road and the Junction will not be served
